The Benefits of Cycling
04/05/11
Cycling or bicycling as it is alternatively known is a form of exercise, though it is sometimes done for recreation or for sport. Bicycles have been around for a long time, and some people consider it a necessity to have one, either for utility or recreational purposes and this includes exercise.
There are many benefits derived from cycling, and the greatest of these have a health inclination to them. An obvious observation that can readily be made is that most cyclists, at least those who engage on the regular maintain a healthier life. They have higher levels of physical fitness and exude a greater physical appeal.
Cyclists have better muscular structure, because cycling constantly engages them. Needless to point out, this has long term benefits on not only the muscular system, but the immune system as well, as it is boosted with this constant form of exercise. Being a form of cardio exercise, cycling is good for the heart, and it helps keep any cardiovascular diseases at bay. This combines with the benefit of weight control. It is a simpler form of exercise for those who want to lose weight, but cannot immediately engage in others such as running or swimming. These benefits are only a tip of the iceberg, as the list is longer still.
