Cycling or bicycling as it is alternatively known is a form of exercise, though it is sometimes done for recreation or for sport. Bicycles have been around for a long time, and some people consider it a necessity to have one, either for utility or recreational purposes and this includes exercise.

It is a simpler form of exercise for those who want to lose weight, but cannot immediately engage in others such as running or swimming.
