A number of manufacturers also soften aluminum and use it to make suspension. A few may also be fitted with carbon forks for better ride.
The geometry is to create bike with shallow head and light weight body with front suspension and long wheel base. Most of these bikes are fitted with flat handle bars, shifters and brakes. The bars are generally wider and give better control and mobility. The position is held high and lets rider to sit up. Most of these bikes also have an adjustable handle and fork.
They have a wheelbase of 26 inches. It is fitted with 700 cc wheel and the rim is such that it can take one to one and a half inch tire. Thread pattern may vary depending up on the manufacturer but they must provide a better grip while turning. The grips must provide better resistance especially when sliding down the mountain. Most of the hybrids have a standard three chain train which is placed in the front. They may also be fitted with eight to nine cogs at the rear side.
